Sitting in a room with a group of people trying to be creative, and not falling asleep, is probably a situation most of us have found ourselves in at some time in our working lives. We daydream, we doodle and we may gaze out of the window and wish we were outside – so it’s good news that research has proved that being outside and walking may well be the best option!
The benefits of walking to improve creativity are well documented, Apple genius Steve Jobs was famous for his walking meetings. A recent study by Stanford University found that a person’s creative output increases by up to 60% when walking. Walking was shown to be more productive than sitting. While it’s actually not important whether you walk inside or outside, in glorious Devon – outside is such a great option, who would rather pace about inside? Up here on Dartmoor you can have the best of both worlds and enjoy the added benefits of being in the countryside while being able to solve problems that may take far longer shut up in a meeting room.
Walk the Talk This Way, run by Alison https://levivard.com Theaker and Inga Page, is a unique experience to maximize the benefits of any corporate team building event.
