Here at The White Hart Hotel we like to constantly keep refreshing our bar to offer our customers as great a selection of beverages as possible.
Working with our close friends at Regency Wines we have recently updated our wine list to include some fantastic new wines. We always like to vary our selection, so we have a fresh mix of old and new world wines, both red and white. Particular favourites of ours are the ‘Pierre Lacasse Sauvignon Blanc’ – a zippy, fruity French Sauvignon with bright flavours of green apple, elderflower, pink grapefruit and gooseberry – and, the ‘Santa Rosa Malbec’ from Argentina – a full, robust wine bursting with plum and bramble fruit.
At the bar we have also added a couple of great new local beers:
Crispy Pig from Hunters Brewery based at Ipplepen. Hunter’s is a family run brewery dedicated to producing the finest quality ales. Using only the best locally-sourced ingredients and committed to crafting real ales that pack more flavour than your average pint. Originally made to accompany a hog roast the Crispy Pig has gone on to earn several awards.
Speak Easy from Powderkeg Brewery of Woodbury Salterton. This transatlantic pale ale brings a little British reserve to the US pale ales. Uniting robust malt and epic fruitiness with balanced bitterness and a clean finish, this remarkable beer stimulates the mind and loosens the tongue.
We also serve Otter Ale from Otter Brewery in Honitonand Yellow Hammer from Hanlon’s Brewery based at Half Moon, just outside of Exeter.
The White Hart Hotel is proud to be a free house able to offer a range of local beers, ciders and spirits. Our back bar is traditional, cosy and inviting – with a real fire in winter – and popular with locals and guests alike. Dartmoor and the South West are areas so blessed with an amazing number of local breweries that we are spoilt for choice.

Don’t forget
The White Hart is situated at the gateway to Dartmoor. Rooms start from £80 for a double sharing or £50 for a single. Groups are welcome with our Mews offering the perfect accommodation for families or larger groups.
