Tuesday 25th February
Shrove Tuesday precedes Ash Wednesday, the official start of Lent, and the tradition of eating pancakes came from the desire to eat foods made from ingredients that would then be given up during the period of Lent, like eggs, butter and fat. And so the origins of Pancake Day were born and delicious melt-in-your-mouth pancakes have become as much a part of our annual calendar as turkey stuffing and chocolate eggs.
This Pancake Day at The White Hart we will be having flipping fun in the kitchen. So, pop in and try our chefs’ very finest selection of tasty pancakes. We will be serving up a choice of savoury and sweet pancakes at both our lunch and dinner servings.
