We want you to enjoy your stay with us. If you have any questions please contact our staff who will be only too happy to help. The following terms and conditions apply to all accommodation bookings made at The White Hart Hotel via the website, email, fax and telephone.
Bookings
Guests may book in advance or on arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and the hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason. Although payment is generally required on departure, there may be occasions when guests are required to fully prepay or provide a deposit at the time of the booking, or on arrival at the hotel. Deposits paid are non–refundable.
Charges
- Any meals, service or VAT (at the current rate) are included only if specified. A minimum length of stay may apply to certain rates.
- Certain booking dates require a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable e.g. Christmas, New Year, etc.
- Price lists for additional items, such as restaurant meals, are on display at reception within the hotel and are available on request.
Payment
You will be asked to provide a credit card (or debit card) at the time of the booking to secure your reservation. Where a deposit or full prepayment is required in advance, you are authorising the debiting of the card provided. Deposits paid are non–refundable.
Cancellation / Non–arrival
The first night’s accommodation and breakfast will be payable if your accommodation is cancelled less than 72 hours before the day of arrival. The same charge will apply for non-arrival.
Cancellation and non-arrival charges will be charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of the booking. The Company reserves the right to charge for one night’s accommodation per room booked if the above cancellation requirements are not met.
Arrivals / Departures
We offer a check in service from 3.00pm -10.00pm, if you are likely to arrive at the hotel after 10.00pm, please let us know as we do not offer 24-hour reception and the hotel closes at 11.00pm.
Early check-ins and late check-outs can be arranged for an additional fee with prior notification. Please call reception to find out more.
On the day of departure, we ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11.00am. As we are a small hotel, we are not in a position to offer late check out unless it is an emergency. You may be charged an hourly rate at the discretion of the hotel.
Accessibility
Please contact our reception on 01647 440500 to discuss specific individual requirements and the availability of appropriate accommodation. Unfortunately we do not have rooms on the ground floor in the main hotel.
Parking
Parking is easy, with two pay and display car parks close by (Station Road car park is 496 yrds). Charges are from 09.00-18.00, aprox. £3.90 per day. Overnight parking is free.
Taxis
Moretonhampstead is very rural of course, so if you require a taxi whilst you are staying with us, you will need to book in advance. Moretonhampstead is covered by two taxi firms: Moorland Taxis 01647 441143 or RS Taxis 01647 279008
Damage
The hotel has the right to charge the guests for damage to any hotel property during their stay.
Hotel Events
Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year the hotel may host weddings, events and parties that you may feel would be an intrusion on your stay. Please contact the hotel directly in advance of your stay for further information.
Insurance
The Company’s liability where accommodation is booked for guest belongings is generally limited under the hotel proprietors Act 1956. The company maintains appropriate insurance cover where the hotel is liable for any injury or loss or damage suffered by our guests.
In The Event of a Problem
In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay, please bring this to the attention of the hotel manager at the time to ensure that we have an opportunity to rectify the issue during your stay.
