Walk the Talk This Way – effective team-building
The benefits of walking to improve creativity are well documented, from Kant’s daily Philosopher’s Walk, to Steve Jobs’ walking meetings. A recent study by Stanford University found that a person’s creative output increases by up to 60% when walking. Walking was shown to be more productive than sitting. While it’s not important whether you walk inside or outside, in glorious Devon – outside is such a great option, who could refuse? Up here on Dartmoor, you can have the best of both worlds and enjoy the added benefits of being in the countryside while being able to solve problems that may take far longer shut in a meeting room.
Walk the Talk This Way is a unique experience to maximise the benefits of any corporate team building event. Rather than making your team endure the graveyard shift after lunch, or as a way of getting the creative juices flowing within the group, organise a guided walk with goal-orientated coaching techniques. Team members will benefit from thinking time while enjoying the environment and return energised and ready to participate.
Walk the Talk This Way sessions are run by Alison Theaker and Inga Page. Alison is an ILM qualified Executive Coach and Mentor and an NLP Coaching Practitioner. She discovered the benefits of walking and coaching having completed the SW Coast Path – all 630 miles of it! Inga Page is qualified in Moorland Leadership and was the founder of the Earth Pilgrim courses at Schumacher College. Your organisation can benefit from high-quality coaching making use of the beautiful moorland environment surrounding the White Hart Hotel, knowing that the paths chosen will be safe and appropriate for maximum benefit.
There are a number of options available for dependent on group size and the time available. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
