It is fair to say our first Open-Mic Poetry Evening, at The White Hart Hotel, was a great success. Seasoned and fledgling voices alike joined in the fun. Our hosts for the night were Rich Green and Rachel Basham who masterfully put nerves at ease and encouraged readers take the floor to recite both their own work and those of more renowned scribes. Who knew there was so much wonderful linguistic talent amongst our amazing community.
We will be holding our Open-Mic Poetry Evenings on the last Wednesday every month from the New Year, so please come along. Whether it is to share your own words, recite some favourites or just listen, everybody is very welcome to come along.
