Our daily menus and new extensive wine list
Along with our new image and fresh feel in the Hotel, we have also spent a great deal of time in developing new menu ideas and putting together an excellent wine list (in our view!). We believe that if we like each and every wine then it is likely that many of our guests will find something delicious to go with any occasion or dish on the menu.
We are committed to retaining the unique charm, character and atmosphere of this 17th Century Coaching Inn whilst offering the best in local, traditional British fayre with maybe just a ‘twist’ here and there.
All products are sourced fresh locally where possible especially our meat and fish and in most cases we buy from small family businesses who share our passion about the quality of food and drink offered.
In addition to casual dining we have a Brasserie menu that caters for the more formal style of dining and this menu is updated daily to reflect any specials or changes in what we have sourced that day. We also cater for all types of function and special occasion large or small either in the Bar, Brasserie or using the Stag Suite that has its own separate bar if required. Any type of menu can be created to suit your requirements.
We can even create and prepare your favourite or most desired dish, just let us know when you make your dinner reservation. All of us at The White Hart Hotel trust you enjoy your visit and the warmth and atmosphere of this unique Devon Coaching Inn and look forward to welcoming you soon.
We can also make a delicious cake for any Birthday or Anniversary milestones - just ask us when you are booking and we will put our creative hats on to suit your requirements.
Updated Activity Breaks
We are currently pulling together an updated range of activity packages that all our guests can enjoy from The White Hart. Examples are Golf, Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon Fishing, Game and Clay Pigeon Shooting, Walking, Garden Tours, Mountain Biking, Riding…I could go on!!
From January 2010 there will be more extensive details on all these activities and many more.
