Booking terms & conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all accommodation bookings made at this hotel via the website, email, fax and telephone.
Guests may book in advance or on arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and the hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason. Although payment is generally required on departure, there may be occasions when guests are required to fully prepay or provide a deposit at the time of the booking, or on arrival at the hotel. Deposits paid are non–refundable.
Any meals, service or VAT (at the current rate) are included only if specified. A minimum length of stay may apply to certain rates.
Certain booking dates require a deposit. Deposits are non–refundable eg Christmas, New Year, etc.
Price lists for additional items, such as restaurant meals, are on display at reception within the hotel and are available on request.
You will be asked to provide a credit card (or debit card) at the time of the booking to secure your reservation. Where a deposit or full prepayment is required in advance, you are authorising the debiting of the card provided. Deposits paid are non–refundable.
The first night’s accommodation and breakfast will be payable if your accommodation is cancelled less than 48 hours before the day of arrival. The same charge will apply for non–arrival.
Cancellation and non–arrival charges will be charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of the booking. The company reserved the right to charge for one night’s accommodation per room booked if the above cancellation requirements are not met.
Guests may check in at any time between 2pm and 10pm on the day arrival. We do not offer a night service, so we ask if you are going to be later than 10pm that you contact the hotel to make alternative arrangements.
On the day of departure we ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11am. As we are a small hotel, we are not in a position to offer late check out unless it is an emergency. You may be charged an hourly rate at the discretion of the hotel.
Please contact our reception on 01647 440500 to discuss specific individual requirements and the availability of appropriate accommodation. We do not have rooms on the ground floor in the main hotel but do have rooms on the ground floor in our Mews building which is 100 metres away from the hotel.
The hotel does not have its own car park. There are two pay and display car parks in Moretonhampstead which charge a small fee for parking. They charge from 9am to 6pm and are free on Sundays.
Damage to hotel property
The hotel has the right to charge the guests for damage to any hotel property during their stay.
Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year the hotel may host weddings, events and parties that you may feel would be an intrusion on your stay. Please contact the hotel directly in advance of your stay for further information.
The company’s liability where accommodation is booked for guest belongings is generally limited under the hotel proprietors Act 1956. The company maintains appropriate insurance cover where the hotel is liable for any injury or loss or damage suffered by our Guests.
If you have a problem
In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay, please bring this to the attention of the hotel manager at the time to ensure that we have an opportunity to rectify the issue during your stay.
